Cape Town Storm

 Geordin Hill-Lewis, the mayor of Cape Town, authorized additional funding and relief efforts to address the effects of heavy rain and high winds in the Western Cape by signing a major incident declaration.

Hill-Lewis claimed on Tuesday that this will help storm-affected areas. Due to flooding, mudslides, rockfalls, fallen trees, damage to buildings and infrastructure, and a disruption in services, the severe weather caused major damage. The effects of the weather were blamed for at least eight fatalities.
