Lukhanyo Am, an individual from the Springboks' 2019 Rugby World Cup winning group, has been called into the 2023 crew as a physical issue trade for wing Makazole Mapimpi who experienced a cracked cheekbone in Sunday's 49-18 triumph over Tonga.


Am will join the crew in Toulon this week, having gotten back to preparing on his restoration from a knee injury experienced in the 24-13 triumph prevail upon Argentina in Buenos Aires on 5 August.


The 29-year-old focus passed up crew choice due to the injury having showed up in the initial four matches of the time as he recuperated from a knee injury experienced in 2022.
