Due  to  flooding,  mudslides,  rockfalls,  fallen  trees,  damage  to  buildings  and  infrastructure,  and  a  disruption  in  services,  the  severe  weather  caused  major  damage. The  effects  of  the  weather  were  blamed  for  at  least  eight  fatalities.
